Online Socialization is Bad Business for Marketers?

Welcome to the Seagus Franchise Broker and Sales Blog.

With Robert Edwards – CEO

It is ironic that Seagus, a company whose prime directive is to create exposure and buzz for other entities (particularly franchises) is itself a veritable online recluse.

We have been fortunate during the past 6 years in that we have had the luxury of picking and choosing our clients. There have been no shortages of franchisors or businesses who wouldn't like to sell more of their wares – particularly on a performance remunerated basis.

And frankly we liked being reclusive. Web socialization for those of us in the marketing industry leads inevitably to a sharing of marketing strategies and sales methodologies that ultimately travels to the competition. I mean – what else do we have to discuss? Its not like we build a product or anything, we do marketing – so the blog must contain at least a minimum of sales strategies.  There are no secrets online and we have thus far liked to keep our promotional plans close to the hip.

But a recent change in market focus and strategy has created a need for an enhanced online presence. Details will be revealed in a future blog.

Although the bulk of the material will be related to franchise sales there will also be some top level writing on sales psychology, online marketing, writing copy and (insert cheesy infomercial voice)  much, much more.
