Who is The Seagus Corporation?

What is a Franchise Broker?

For Franchise Buyers:  A Franchise Broker is to franchises like a Real Estate agent is to houses. Our goal is to match buyers with a franchise offering best suited to their budget, goals, lifestyle and several other key factors. By helping clients explore aspects they may not have considered on their own, and by skillfully uncovering strengths and weaknesses we maximize the possibility of financial success and personal satisfaction for our franchisee clients.

For Franchise Sellers: A good broker can provide assorted franchise services including franchise brand development, sales process analysis, marketing collateral design, and general consulting. Seagus provides these and more see our about page for expanded services.

How much does your service cost?

For Franchise Sellers: For qualified Franchisors Seagus will provide performance remunerated sales and marketing efforts on your behalf. Typical industry fees are 40-60% of the franchise fee however we are open to negotiate an equitable arrangement in most circumstances.

For Franchise Buyers: Our franchise consulting services are mostly free to buyers as we are paid a commission or referral fee when we match a buyer with a franchise. We do however charge for additional services such as  franchise or business analysis, feasibility studies, and general consulting. Our initial consultation is always free so contact us with your needs.

If you are Paid by the Franchise Seller How do I know you won't sell me a Bad Franchise?

The same possibility stands for your Real Estate agent. What if they try and sell you the house with the biggest commission?

This analogy illustrates the futility of any company or consultant trying to sell you a franchise that is not well suited to you, or within your budget.

One of the benefits of being a broker is we represent hundreds of franchises. That gives us the complete freedom to match clients with the perfect franchise rather than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. A good broker will also be on top of all the latest industry trends and be able to advise on best performing franchises, new franchises, and possible changes within the market that may affect you.

Additionally the internet is a small place. Companies engaged in unethical practices don't last long. Reputation is everything and we have taken ours very seriously since 2005.

Why would I use a Franchise Broker?

There are several ways that a good Franchise Broker can help you. Firstly – they can steer you clear of any outright franchise scams or "questionable" franchises. Not a day goes by that we don't hear another story of a person who bought "that" franchise again only to be completely disappointed. Franchise Brokers know the industry, know the best performing franchises, know the not so good ones, and know how to match you with the right franchise.

Secondly it just makes sense to look at more than one franchise. When you shop for a house you don't look only at one – yet many people today engage the franchisor directly and do just that. As Franchise Brokers we try to stay neutral matching the person to the franchise rather than the other way around.

Thirdly having an experienced person with you throughout the process can be very helpful and stress limiting. If the franchisor is asking or doing things that make you feel uncomfortable or you have questions about your broker can act as an intermediary to try and smooth things over, or possibly even move you to another franchise.
As the service is completely free, using a franchise broker seems to be a logical choice.

There are other benefits such as guidance in obtaining franchise financing and legal representation,  broker discounts on your franchise and other perks we can negotiate on your behalf, contact us for more details.

I don't see the Franchise I am interested in on your List of Franchises, Can You Still Help?

Seagus works with a number of franchises that we have selected based on a number of factors. That being said there are still good franchises that choose not to work with brokers (yet!)

While we may not have knowledge as extensive as with our own clients, we are exposed to a multitude of franchise details in our day to day affairs. Additionally some of our clients have hired us on a consulting basis to conduct analysis on franchises outside of our portfolio, so it is likely we will have some input there as well.

As initial consultations are free it is recommended you contact us to determine if we may be of assistance.

Which Franchises do you Directly Represent?

Seagus represents a large number of National brand name Franchises, some on an exclusive basis. For a partial list of some of our Franchisor partners click here
